Small French restaurant with charm
A dream of Carmen Mihalcea, a lilac façade on Amerlingstraße and a dining room where no two chairs are alike.

A dream that came true in Mariahilf
It had always been Carmen Mihalcea’s dream to open a small French restaurant, a brasserie, in Vienna.
Where Café Amerling and later the Creole restaurant Keke’s once stood, the lilac façade of Brasserie de la Marie now shines and immediately brings to mind the lavender fields of Provence.
Born in Romania, she has created a one-of-a-kind gem in Vienna-Mariahilf. Shabby-chic furniture, matching picture frames and mirrors, rattan tables and lampshades and much more.
- 2017opened at Amerlingstraße 15
- 1060Vienna-Mariahilf, near Mariahilfer Straße
- 20–40guests for your private party
A piece of Provence in Mariahilf“The lilac façade immediately brings to mind the lavender fields of Provence .”
A colourful mix and yet harmonious
The charm of it is almost illogical: it is such a skilful, colourful mix that you feel everything comes together into a perfect, harmonious picture despite how different the individual pieces are.
Sounds completely illogical, and in a way it is, but once you are here you simply feel at home.
